Types of Ice

Full Cubes (⅞” x ⅞” x ⅞”)
Cubed ice is the most common type when talking about ice cubes due to their wide range of uses. These thick ice cubes melt slowly and cool beverages quickly. Full cubes are ideal for drinks, food services, icing down coolers and other large volume applications. This style of ice is most popular in bars, convenience stores, and restaurants.
Half Cubes (⅜” x ⅞” x ⅞”)
These are similar to the traditional ice cube, just cut in half. This type of small cube is very popular in self-serve dispensers and blends very well to make cool, smooth frozen drinks.
Flakes
Due to its snowy looks and unique texture, flake ice is perfect for creating an attractive presentation for food and beverage displays. This type of ice is ideal for preserving produce and other perishable food items where freshness is critical, often use for medical use as well.
Nugget
This ice is perfect for all those ice chewers out there wanting to have “Sonic Ice” in their drinks.
